2019 Essay Contest

Eligibility Requirements:

* Students must be in Grade 10, 11, or 12,

* Must be a resident of Camrose County,

* Previous Camrose County scholarship award winners are ineligible,

* Essay should be 1,000 to 1,500 words in length OR multimedia presentation should be 4 to 5 minutes in length.

Selected Topics

Please select from ONE of the following:

1. In rural areas it is often challenging for farmers to find mental health support. Describe the challenges/impact that limited resources for mental health has on farmers.

2. Describe the impact (positive or negative) that social media has on public trust in food and agriculture.

3. Describe the impact that the changes in the Canadian Food Guide will have on Agriculture in Canada and Alberta.

Please reference people interviewed or research material used for your essay, video or power point presentation.
